Question JBL Charge 2+ solid white LED

Hello guys. I have a JBL Charge 2+, and i got it as a gift. It has no battery inside, but googled that i can turn it on without the battery by just plugging the charger in. I did that but the speaker does not respond at all, and all it shows is a white power button LED, and thats all. When i plug in the cable, the LED turns on and it does not blink or anything, its solid. Pressing the button also does nothing. Also nothing seems to be burnt or water damaged. Is there any way i can fix this issue, and if you guys can help me i would appreciate it alot. Thanks.

Why is there no battery? There should be one. Seems there is some info missing.
