Just received new win10 laptop (xps13). Any tips on what to do first?

charge it up make sure when it charging the unit does not get overly hot. friend of mine got a new tablet that melted on first charge.

If you did not get a ssd, the first thing I would do would be to replace the hard drive with a ssd.

Then turn off all the instrumentation that you do not want.

Next, look at the installed programs and get rid of the trialware and other apps that you know you do not need.
Research the apps that you can't identify.

Well you will have to configure Windows then I would do all the updates if you plan on doing the Anniversary update on Tuesday.
