I doubt that you will be able to hear and notice any difference. The impedance of the speaker has very little effect on Audio quality and sound perception in general.

You might not see a difference between 6-ohm or 8-ohm settings. There is a lot more to consider besides impedance rating. It will depend of the quality of the speakers.
Since impedance isn't flat, even after you switch to 6-ohm, your speaker may stay in the 8-ohm or even greater range.
