Keyboard errors Ampersand

When I type the amersand (ie an @) I get an ") now I have tried to type a backslash and this is what I get...... #. I have an ACER keyboard and ACER have not been able to solve this problem for me.

Hi, try using the "Alt Car" key with the 2, you find this key beside the space bar at the right.
