Hello

I have started having many issues with my laptop that I've only had for 2 weeks. It is an Asus Rog with Windows 10 as OS.

Here are the issues I have come across so far :
- The Y key is being activated nearly continuously making it impossible for me to do much on my laptop.
- I can no longer click with my touchpad so I'm forced to use a mouse.
- Right-clicking on the windows 10 taskbar does not work.

All these things have started to happen in the last hour so I think it is a virus of some kind. I made a Malwarebytes scan and restarted my PC but the issue is still there.
Any help would be much appreciated...

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start with your Touchpad, uninstall/reinstall its driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Touchpad driver.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver from ASUS Support site.
- Here's the link: https://www.asus.com/support/
- Once installed reboot your laptop then test it again after.
- Your last option would be to a factory refresh to further identify if it's a hardware or just the operating that is faulty.
- Here's how to do a factory refresh: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ph/windows-10/windows-10-recovery-options
- If reinstalling Windows 10 will not work that means it's a hardware failure.
