I dropped my Dell Latitude and now the keyboard does not seem to respond. If I shut down and turn on again I get to the "control-alt-del" logon screen but am unable to type anything. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

^official Dell rep has no idea.

The keyboard's functionality has NOTHING to do with the touchpad, as they have their own ribbon connectors to the mainboard.

With any luck, all you would need to do is reseat the cable, but you would have to figure how to get to it first.
