Keyboard typing Wrong symbol Wrong

When i want @ i press shift with 2 but it shows " and when i go for " it types @

Simply press ctrl and shift and you'll be good to go.

It is because your keyboard layout is wrong.Go to system settings-text entry and change the layout to (English US).Your present layout may be (English UK).Hope it helps.It solved my problem.(Do just as it says in ubuntu operating system but go to control panel in Windows)
