KLH speakers with Sony receiver

Bought a refurbished Sony STRDH550 5.2 Channel 4K AV Receiver. I have KLH Model 20 4 ohm speakers. Back of receiver says 6-16 ohm speakers. Will this work?

It might cause the receiver to go into protection or maybe even blow. The warranty on a refurb might not cover that. Try it at your own risk.
I would suggest you get 2 four ohm 20-100 watt resistors and wire them in series with the plus lead to each speaker raising the impedance to 8 ohms
