A few minutes ago I took apart my laptop to clean it since it was heating up a little too fast and I was getting frame drops on games. I put the laptop back together and started up my games to see if Its any better only to find out that the laptop heats up even faster and my games are lagging even more.
Im not sure what I did to cause this. When I was taking apart the laptop there was a stripped screw so I did push a little harder on it to get it out.
Here is my system specs if you need them:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586)
System Manufacturer: LENOVO
System Model: 20250
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Display adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M
Intel HD Graphics 4600
Sorry im not a tech kinda guy so please bear with me haha

Solution
loman5986, did you take the cpu heatsink off, removed old heatsink compound & put new heatsink compound on the cpu before re-installing the cpu heatsink?
It's dangerous to open up a PC, you can accidentally shock your components. And if you just unplug it without pressing the powerbutton afterwards, you can also harm yourself.

A lot of things could be causing this. GPU drivers, using the wrong GPU, hard drive failing, CPU overheating, GPU overheating, and so on. We need more info.
