Lapton shutted down

Hi, I' ve just bought a laptop, and everything went well for...two weeks.Today I pressed F1 by mistake ( or was it F 2)Anyway after that the laptop went off.I couldn' t wait and pressed again all sorts of "combinations"(F1 followed by this and that) But no starting of the laptop.I hope I haven' t wasted my money...Thanks
