Question Laptop + 144hz monitor

Hey, i want to connect my hp omen 15-ce086nz laptop to an external 144hz monitor wich is the AOC C24G1 and i was wondering if i could get the 144hz refresh rate via a mini dp to dp cable.

Are you sure you have a miniDP port and it´s not an USB-C 3.1 port?

It says DP 1.2 and i dont have normal DP and the port that i think is miniDP looks like it so it has to be miniDP otherwise why would it say DP 1.2 and i dont even have a DP.
But will i be able to get 144hz with miniDP to DP adapter ?

in the specs of the HP homepage is no miniDP port, but if the laptop of the link is yours, then it has a miniDP port

A 144Hz monitor can work with the correct cable. Be sure that the cable is working with 144Hz by reading reviews of it

Display port 1.2 144hz?

I want to buy a 144hz monitor (XB270HU) 2560x1440 IPS and i was thinking which port to use HDMI or display port 1.2 in the internet i found article about that DP can only run 60hz but Has higer resolution on the other hand HDMI can run 144hz but only at 1080p so what should i do? Maybe i can use...
