Solved! Laptop abruptly switches off and the screen goes blank

Laptop abruptly switches off and the screen goes blank even though the power is on and battery is fully charged. The laptop is Dell Inspiron 3520.
I have noticed the back portion just below the battery.. where the main board is supposed to be gets very hot. maybe that's why it abruptly switches off any solution?

If it is overheating that would definitely turn it off. You need to monitor the temps to see for sure if that is the problem.

I would also suggest clearing out the laptop of dust, debris, etc. and make sure the fans and the vents are not blocked.
