Laptop ac adapter plugged in not charging

i have replaced battery and ac adapter for my inspiron 1525, however it shows that it is plugged in but not charging

Usually thats a knackered battery or its an incompatible aftermarket battery. An original replacement new one is just shy of £22 from eBay.

Theres also a bios update which is considered important by Dell, its relative to the operation of the battery so that may be worth a shot.
