Laptop backlight problems.

I got this laptop out of a dumpster and fixed it up software wise for my own personal use. Only problem is the backlight is all messed up and the CPU needs upgraded. The backlight only turns off if I mess around with the screen (moving it up/down or pressing the edges), so would that be wiring, or the backlight itself.

Sounds like loose wiring where the hinges are at.

I'll definitely take a look, but I don't think that's it because I could just pinch the top of the screen frame and it goes out
