Laptop Battery Problem?

I have a ASUS A45D, and i have battery problem since 1 year ago the problem is when i connect the battery without the charger it starts up for 1 second and suddenly shutdown if i connect the charger while im using the battery it stuck on the ASUS logo but if i remove the battery and only use the charger it worked just fine
