Laptop cannot detect charger

My Asus X200MA laptop suddenly became unable to detect my charger. The battery drained to zero despite being plugged in. Now I am unable to turn my laptop on at all. I know my charger is not broken, because I tried with another one. Is it a battery issue? What can I do? Where can I buy a replacement battery?

Could be the DC jack.

If the battery was at fault, the system would still turn on as long as the charger was connected.
