I'm getting my first laptop that's not a macbook, basically I need more power per dollar. I did my research on the things I need, but I don't know how to trust companies I haven't used before, and almost everyone i know has macbooks or lenovo computers.

So there are two: one is the ACER, which is a good dedicated graphics based computer the V5-552g that sports a 8750m with 2gigs; but then there's a lenovo that's a bit cheaper, but has an inferior card the 8650g, though it does have a better warranty and the company is on top of laptop sales.

Lenovo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312829

ACER: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314240

The advice I need is:
For $50s less and better brand, is the graphics card downgrade worth it? I know the 8650 isn't dedicated, but how much worse does that make it than the 8750.

thanks in advance.

If you're serious at all about gaming, go with the laptop with better graphics. One thing to remember with a laptop.....you CAN NOT upgrade graphics. What you get when you buy it is what you're stuck with forever.

My main gripe is, I've read that ACER makes you pay for warranty shipping even if it's a defect in the hardware. Which is kinda risky cause I have no clue what their quality is like. I've read they are good, but the price for what you get may seem too good to be true.
