Laptop Cooling Pad

I have a HP Pavilion DV6000 and am needing a cooling pad. I have the extended battery that sits the laptop off the desk and the one fan i can find on the bottom of the laptop sucks air onto the motherboard.
Question: Should I only limit myself to a cooling pad the blows air onto the bottom of my laptop or does it matter what kind of fan it is?
What is a good Cooling Pad that will reduce the heat of my laptop?

Hi, have you had any luck finding one?? also, where did you get the extended battery?? HP??

My mom bought one at OfficeMax. It was a targes one that blew up which was perfect for the laptop. It was also powered by the usb. The extended battery came with the laptop when we bought it.
