Laptop expert advise

hello friends.
i need your help. i have dell n5010 laptop and it has some problem from today evening. when start mt laptop all the things are normal untill it shows an message "preparing your system", after this the screen goes black , i mean there is display light but it does not show any thing on the screen.what i ahev to do to get it to the normal condition.
please help me.

Does it say "preparing to configure windows"?
If it does, it sounds like you have a failed windows update.
Hit F8 during startup(hit the key repeatedly)
Select "Safe Mode"
Let windows start up, then goto system restore in advanced > system settings, and do a rollback.

Also, if it doesn't say "preparing to configure windows" but is something simular, you can do the same steps as above to rollback.

After you do the rollback, restart your laptop, then attempt to reinstall the updates.
