Laptop exposed to magnetic mat

I accidentally put my Toshiba laptop on a magnetic cutting mat and now it will not turn on at all...is there anything I can do to fix this?

How long was it on this mat?

I'd be very surprised a magnetic mat was strong enough to do anything.
