Laptop Fan Max Speed HWInfo

Hey guys, my laptop has 7000 Max value in Hwinfo. i was wondering what should be the safest value to set via HWInfo so i can reduce my laptop temperature and is it safe to change the value or will it damage my laptop's fan.

Specs:
core i7-2670QM
8gb Ram
GT555m 3GB
Windows 8.1

7000 is ok. It is generally better to have louder fans than quieter ones if the temps are getting critical. And just to let you know, 7000 is nothing compared to my max, 25,000.

25,000 OMG !!! when i set mine to 5000 its so loud that i feel scared. 5k speed will brick it haha

No it won't. It wouldn't spin that fast if it would break it. It is true though if it stay that fast for a long time it will start to wear out quicker.

alright, what if my laptop vents are clear, fan speed is max out but temps are still high. what should be the reason?
