Hey guys,

Yesterday i was tinkering with speedfan and some other apps to get my laptop fan running at 100%
I started a gaming session and my laptop overheated upon looking, I found the fan wasn't working(shit).
Any possible fixes?
And is the fan controlled by the registry or something like that so that it can be (possibly)fixed with a simple windows reset?

I have tried resetting the bios.
Thank you in advance..

You said you tried speedfan "and some other apps". What other ones did you try? Deleting Speedfan should've fixed it unless one of the other apps caused it to not revert back to normal.

It's been YEARS since I needed one but I believe CC Cleaner will help remove any leftover files that may cause issues if the software didn't uninstall properly. https://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/

Wow! I actually put my CPU under load and then tried to move the fan carefully with a toothpick and... as soon as I removed the toothpick it started working again! yay!

That's not good. It's either severely clogged from dust / cat hair OR it's going to die.
