I'm looking for a laptop mostly for work, but sometimes playing Dota 2 at acceptable quality. I have some choice around my budget:

Asus K501LX-DM082D
Intel Core i5-5200U(2.2Ghz, 3MB L3 Cache, Up to 2.7Ghz)
8GB DDR3L 1600Mhz
nVidia Geforce GTX950M 4GB GDDR3
15.6"Full HD (1920x1080)
Around 800$ in my country

MSI GE60 2PL APACHE
LCD 15.6" WQ Full HD 1920*1080
- VGA nVidia Geforce GTX 850M 2GB DDR3
- CPU Intel Sharkbay i5-4210H(2.9GHz, 3MB Cache, Up to 3.5Ghz)
- Chipset Intel Shark Bay HM86
- RAM DDR III : 8GB
Around 950$

Which one is better choice, consider the price? I have heard bad review about MSI cooling system (CPU and GPU usually at 90° C), fan noise and reliability. Is it really that bad? With those specs,is playing Dota 2 medium/high settings enough to stress the laptop, that makes it burning hot?

Solution
The i5-4210h CPU will run hotter than the i5-5200u since it uses up to 47w of power vs. 15w of power for the i5-5200u. Plus it also means lower battery life. The MSI can provide better gaming performance than the Asus, but I definitely recommend buying a cooling pad for it.

90°C is definitely too high for me. My old Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 with an i5-2410m (with a nVidia GT 550m) went over 90°C and probably after about 1.5 hours of playing games the CPU would start to throttle down which made game play choppy.
