Hi,
I'm looking into buying myself an elgato hd60 to record ps4 gameplay with. My laptop seems to meet all the requirements except for the CPU. It's an intel core i5 4210U. Other than that I have 8gb of RAM and 1TB HDD memory. Is this reasonable?
Thanks in advance for your help.

PS: I need a new ps4 too so if I need a new super expensive laptop it's a no-go because I could just buy a PC and record gameplays on there.

I've used a i5-5200U, and you should be good. However, the render time take a bit longer, but as long as you have 64-bit, you should be good. You also may need to lower the settings as well.

Yes lower the quality. Your CPU may not be able to transcode it correctly. Do you have a GPU?

Well, don't expect high quality, low to medium recordings should be able to handle it. I was doing it with a GeForce 940m and i5-5200u..so you should be able to handle the same quality. Also, I was able to capture at 60FPS. Be aware, that there will be a delay when pressing a button on your dualshock to your laptop.

Incorrect, you can get 1080p quality, just not high quality. But, it doesn't hurt to try it out, and see how it can handle.
