Hey is ASUS any good anymore? Hows there build quality in comparison to the past? I know they used to be great, better than APPLE.

I found an ASUS N65vz-es71
Specs:
17-3610QM
650m 2gb gddr3
4GB- can upgrade to 16gb :D
500GB HDD
all for $799

What I like is the aluminium body and the CPU/GPU will upgrade the ram to 8GB or 16GB, and put in a SSD with the HDD or replace with SSD.

Also looking at Lenovo, what do you think?

just checking brother. sorry i wasn't more help. I like asus myself. i have had very few issues with them. they even fixed one of my laptops out of warrenty for free. can't ask for more then that in the customer support side.

its not bad but i would see if you could find a lappie with a gtx 660...remember that lappies GPU's are cut down versions of the desk top.

anyways you may have already considered this but i thought i would say something to be sure. can't tell you how many friends i have that got pissed ther mobile gpu wasn't even nearly close to desktop specs. honestly i find the labeling both nvidia and amd use for mobile chips to be misleading.
