Laptop for School (and also a little gaming)

I just started college and i'm going for computer programming. We mainly use windows and things like Visual Studios and word and a lot of windows programs. I need help finding a laptop (preferably 13" or 15" around that size frame) that can handle VS and others programs while being able to play decent games like CS-GO and H1Z1 and games similar to that. I'm not wanting to spend more that $1000. Any suggestions?
