Question laptop freezes and doesn't startup after waking up from sleep mode

hey, I've been having a problem with my laptop for awhile, whenever i leave it in sleep mode for a while, when i come back the trackpad stops working and USB port etc, the mouse and keyboard still works but everything else freezes, when i try to shut it down/restart, it gets stuck in the shutting down screen and after awhile it forces shut down and starts up again, but it gets stuck in the boot screen, and the power button does nothing so i can't force shutdown, so i have to wait until the battery dies, also my battery is not removable and I'm not comfortable with taking the PC apart, I've also already tried doing a reset while keeping files,but it still happens,

any help would be appreciated
