Laptop has black screen.

HP Laptop won't stay on after pressing the power button, fan hard drive, and it sounds like it might be the dvd player ran for half an second and everything shutdown and restart automatically and shutdown again. It does it several times until I turn it off manually. I really really need help from any computer savvy.

u may run a display problem or RAM issues!!!! Does u see the Bois booting??
