Hi!
I have a problem with an Asus notebook/laptop, when the Num Lock (Fn + Num LK) is on the 7,8,9,u,i,o,p,j,k,l,m become 7,8,9,4,5,6,*,1,2,3,0 respectively - this is normal. But when I take off Num Lock (Fn + Num LK) my keys are mapped as arrow keys i.e. u and o are left and right arrow, 8 and 2 are up and down arrow keys.
I am also only able to use the correct key bindings by holding "Fn" and the key i.e. Fn + u becomes u. If you could point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

Solution
Try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't work, you may wish to try connecting an external keyboard and see if it works fine. If it does, then it could be the keys themselves that are the issue.

Thanks for the help :) in the end I tried reinstalling the software to no avail and am now using a separate keyboard :( looks as though I will be getting a new laptop soon!
