Laptop liquid spill: USB keyboard?

Following a liquid spill on my ASUS N76VM, the keyboard stopped working. It has been 10 days, and having tried to clean and dry as much as possible, I have turned the laptop back on,

I uninstalled the internal keyboard software, and am currently using the laptop with a USB keyboard and mouse without any problems. Is this possibly a long term solution, or should I proceed with an expensive repair from the laptop vendor?

if it does not bother you using the external keybord then wait or have the internal fix ,that a replacement keyboard and they even show you how to do it in a video http/www.laptopkeyboard.com/LaptopKeyboard.php/Asus/N%20Series/N76VM
