I have been trying to fix a friend's laptop because it displays 4 identical screens in the monitor instead of just one. There is also a big gap between the screens with weird lines going below them and on the side of them.
The laptop is a Sony Vaio with Windows 8.1 64 bit, 4GB of Ram and an intel penitum 987.
The only I've tried it to uninstall the Intel HD graphics drivers but that hasn't made a difference.
It is a touchscreen laptop and the touchscreen does work.
I have taken pictures to show and I even did a print screen image which showed a singular screen. This gives me the impression that the problem is physical monitor and not the software/drivers but this is just an impression. thanks for your responses.

Solution
its the monitor itself.nothing to do with drivers.also your mention the touch didnt work which points to the monitor itself.might have put something heavy on the laptop while in a back pack/bag or dropped it which cause the damage.if u want more confirmation try an external monitor.if its driver issue it should affect the external as well.
