I have a Dell 1545 Inspiron laptop I use at work. Lightning just hit our building and alot of computers went bad. My laptop still works with a charged battery, flawlessly. But it won't charge. I fear it is the actual connector that the charger plugs into.

I have tried a different battery and it works. I have charged my battery on another computer that is similar and it works. I have tried 3 different chargers that work and they won't charge it. So i beleive the only thing that is wrong is the actual plug in where you put the charger, because everything else works. How would I go abotu fixing this?

So, when you unplug the battery and use only the charger, it will not work, then the dc jack is defective. But if it works, then the dc jack is good, but the circuit who charge the battery is defective.
