Laptop not charging or turning on

I have a Dell Inspiron 17inch 5000 series laptop. It was working just fine yesterday. I turned it off last night but when I went to go turn it on this morning nothing. No lights or anything is coming on the laptop now.

try this. remove main battery, disconnect power adapter from laptop, hold down the power button for 20 count, re-install battery, reconnect power adapter & turn on laptop.

I did that and still no go
