Laptop not charging

I have Toshiba satellite. Not sure which model cause it has been removed.so any way my laptop is not charging.I also bought a new charger but the problem remains still.my laptops battery 0% so I couldn't do anything with drivers and other stuff.I have also tried things which other sites told,like to unpluge battery and hold the power button etc.if u guyz could help me I would be very thank full

If the laptop works with mains power with or without the battery being in place, the battery is useless. Are you sure the numbers of Volts and Amps on the charger precisely matches the equivalent figures on the battery?

My charger was working fine then after some time I had to shake the pin of charger to make it work and now it's now working at all i tried to buy a new charger but that won't work either
