I am wanting to use my TV (Flat 1080) as a monitor for an extra laptop I have.
The laptop only has a VGA output, and the TV has no VGA Input port. TV has standard RCA connections, HDMI, and S-video.

What is the least expensive option to get video output to the TV from the laptop?

You may need something like this - http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?seq=1&format=2&p_id=6191&CAWELAID=1329452252&cagpspn=pla&gclid=CJ-Iv_26nrYCFQrqnAodzwEA-w
From what I read on two sites the VGA to HDMI cables do not work and that you need a converter similar to the one mentioned in the link.

You might be able to use this from BestBuy - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/eForCity+-+Premium+VGA+to+RCA+Component+Cable+M/M%2C+12+ft+(3.66m)+-+Black/4475955.p;jsessionid=EE71C62882FDBE3A92E3A5B54586300E.bbolsp-app01-161?id=1218477898697&skuId=4475955&st=vga to rca&cp=1&lp=5 It is a VGA to RCA Component cable.

Thank you for your response; I went with the Cable from BestBuy that you provided a link for. It's working good so far; video quality is slightly over-par from a standard VGA to VGA connection; but it will do for now, as it was the least priced option. Thanks again.
