Solved! Laptop overcharging because the battery

Hi

My Toshiba laptop shuts down itself when i put the battery in.
But when i took the battery off the laptop, my laptop wont have this problem anymore.
Is this because my battery causing overheating or the laptop itself overheats?

How do you know it's overheating? Did you check temps? Or are you just saying it's overheating because the laptop shuts off?

Try with another battery to find out if it's the battery or the connections.

I plug the battery to my laptop yesterday and it works fine now.
I didnt check the temps, i just assumed my laptop overheated because the laptop shuts off.

Never, ever, ever insert the battery when your laptop is on and running. It may break your laptop, or worse. Only insert or remove the battery when your laptop is shut down.
