Solved! Laptop powers on then shuts off

Hello,
Power on laptop and it lights up and then turns off in 3 seconds with no beeps. Removed battery and HD but same results. Also removed and reseated the RAM.

Sounds like a hardware failure, perhaps of the CPU or motherboard.
You'll probably need an experienced repair tech to track down the exact problem.
