Laptop Processor Upgrade

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop wih Core2 Duo T6500 2.10GHz processor.Laptop is quite old (5 to 6 years) but working very well.The problem is that the processor doesn't have virtualization support.So due to lack of vtx support no 64 bit guest operating system can run on vmware in it.So is it possible to upgrade the processor to one which could provide vtx support?If it is possible can you suggest me the best processor upgrade with specifications about it?Also to what extend I can increase my RAM?Currently I have 3GB RAM.Is it possible to increase the RAM upto 6GB?I am a student and wish to learn RHEL 7.Please guide me..and thanks in advance.

you have 2 ram slots with a 2gig in 1 & a 1gig in the other. max is 4gigs of ram.
