I'm looking for recommendations on a laptop purchase that will provide me with the most value. My primary use will be for MS Office applications with a secondary
1. What is your budget?
Maximum USD 750
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
14-15.6 inch
3. What screen resolution do you want?
Full HD would be nice, but not necessary as I don't plan to play games that much. 1366x768 would probably suffice, but the higher the resolution the better.

Portable
5. How much battery life do you need?
At least 4 hours
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Limited game play. Don't think I need a dedicated video card based on intended use.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Main use will be for email, surfing, and heavy MS Office application (mainly Excel and Access) and some move watching.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
At least 500GB. 7200RPM would be nice but probably not required based on intended use.
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Newegg, Amazon, Microcenter, Xotic or direct from manufacturer.
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
2-3 years
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Bluray - DVD for movies
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Asus, Lenovo preferred, but open to other brands (Samsung?). Prefer to stay away from HP and Dell based on past experience; namely, deteriorating quality, poor customer support, excessive bloatware, etc.
13. What country do you live in?
U.S.A.
14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Would like to have a backlit keyboard, SSD-HDD hybrid for fast(er) start-up, 4-8MB DDR3 RAM. Prefer to have a 3rd Gen Intel processor, not sure whether I need an i3 or i5 processor based on primary use (heavy Excel and Access). Built-in keypad would be nice, but not a deal breaker as I can always buy a standalone keypad. Light(er) weight would be nice as I don't want to be lugging around too much weight ( < than 6 lbs preferred).
