Laptop Screen Flickers During Games

I bought a new laptop from ASUS it has an nvidia gtx 860m gpu the drivers are 333.37 which are current per the nvidia software on my computer. The flickering occurs during games and is intermittent, i first thought it was a transition to a cutscene. Ive tried reinstalling the drivers and searching othre forums to no avail. Im using windows 8.1. I bought this laptop for playing games on an extended business trip that I am leaving for soon and I would much rather fix the problem than have to try to and get my computer replaced.
