Laptop screen has become negative (from boot)

My laptop screen has become negative from boot. Even in the bios menu and the "sony" logo.

I have connected it to a external monitor and it works and is not negative. Which rules out a graphics card problem.

I have replaced the screen but the problem still persists. I am not sure what else to do and would like some help on the matter.

The laptop is a sony vaio PCG-VPCEB4J0E.

Hi,

Do also check the physical connection of the display to the motherboard. Inspect the cables as well and see if there are any physical damage or scratches that could cause that problem. If all these steps fail that's an issue with the graphics card itself and some other techs do suggest on reballing the graphic card.
