Laptop screen help

Hi guys

I have a wonderful Toshiba Satellite C850 machine that I've been using for more than 3 years now. I was cleaning the screen this morning and cleaned it with a soft cloth and spectacle cleansing solution. After I was done cleaning, a dark patch appeared in the lower left corner of the screen. Can anybody suggest what might have happened?

I didn't apply any pressure on the screen.

Liquid could have leaked inside the screen, or you may have just pushed too hard without noticing.

I guess it was the liquid. What would be a good way to dry it up?

Wait or open the screen and seperate it from the clamshell and sit it out for a while, if there was no damage to the screen that is. I don't suggest putting anything like a hair dryer on it. Maybe a fan on low speeds to help it along.

Thanks, I waited and it has gradually been reducing. Hope it goes away eventually.
