I have HP Pavilion g6-2358ee Notebook PC

The right hinge was broken so I opened the laptop glued it and it is fine now the problem is I think I misplaced something which is responsible of turning down the display when I close the lid as it came back if I refreshed it with the mouse or hitting any key.
So the question is what is the hardware responsible of turning the display when the lid is closed? If any pics can be provided I’ll be grateful.

Hi,

Have you tried changing Power Option of your laptop first? Here are some steps I would suggest doing first before going into the hardware part.
- Right click on the battery icon on the bottom right corner and select Power Options.
- On the left pane of Power Options click on "Choose what closing the lid does".
- Once open, on "When I close the lid" select it to Sleep on both "On Battery" and "Plugged in"
- Click Save Changes then test it again.
