Laptop screen not working!

I have ASUS k53sv sx542v. Laptop was dropped, worked on external display for a few months, now it doesn't show a white screen as it used to. It now shows a black screen and it won't work off external display anymore (LCD SCREEN) .. Any suggestions? Has my logic board broken now?

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you may want to try.
- Disconnect the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard and reconnect your external display then see if you'll get anything out of it.
- If this doesn't work try to reseat the RAM first, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- If all these steps will not work unfortunately your graphics card is faulty already.
