Laptop screen randomly flickering white/lighter

Hello,
I bought a Dell Inspiron about a month ago and recently begun using it. I noticed after about a week of use that the screen sometimes randomly and suddenly becomes very light for half a second, then goes back to normal. Each flicker happens individually. The flickers don't occur repeatedly or back to back. For example, my screen could flicker right now and then again in either 1 minute or 3 hours.

I've updated video drivers but this hasn't solved anything. I've also tried disabling adaptive brightness but so far nothing helped. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Intel Core i7-6700HQ 6th Gen
1TB HDD
8GB RAM
Windows 10

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Do a clean install of the graphics card driver, please do refer to this article on how to do the clean install.

- If these doesn't work connect an external monitor and observe your PC if the same issue will happen on it because if it does that means it's the graphics card that has a problem but if not it's the built in display that has the problem.
- Also just to be sure do run a virus/malware scan that may help as well.
