laptop screen won't wake up from sleep

hello guys my name is majd , and i'm facing a problem with my new asus laptop since i replaced the incredibly slow hard drive that the laptop came with , with a SSD and normaly installed windows and all the required drivers , the problem is that i can't wake up the laptop from sleep whenever i do that the device seems to respond because the lights start blinking but the screen stays dead black ! can anyone please tell me how do i solve this incredibly annoying issue . thanx in advance guys

Remove the power cord and battery, the swap in the old HDD, and boot up. If its boots fine with the old HDD then its a software issue and not hardware.
