Hello everyone,
After spending hours and hours I'm finally giving up and looking for alternative solution. My laptop screen won't boot up although everything else seems to be running fine. Whenever I connect my laptop to an external monitor and unpulg it, the screen would work fine. I've tested ram modules, draining CMOS (worked for a couple of months), reinstalled all the drivers, updated them, reinstalled windows, dissassembled the computer and checked the cable to the monitor, nothing helps. The only way to make the screen work is to take out the HDD, turn it on (screen starts working), turn it off, put HDD back in and turn it on again. But it fixes it only for that moment, otherwise, if I am to restart my laptop, I'm back to where I started. Anyone has any oher ideas?

Weird thing is, that if I put my HDD in another toshiba computer, it works just fine. My computer also boots up fine with an HDD from another computer. And once I switch them back, my computer works fine for a few days before going black again.

Maybe you've got a corrupted Windows.

Boot into Safe Mode (F8 per http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=windows-7) and try a Computer Repair.

If that doesn't work, do a Windows re-install.

I've already done both. Didn't help. I assume there must be something wrong with the latch sensor (the one which tells if the lid is closed or not), I have no other ideas...
