Laptop shuts automatically

My laptop automatically shuts down in a few minutes. I tried running it on adapter but its of no use. I checked the temp which was 55C - 60C. Is there something that I can do to solve this?

Let me explain
Just imagine that you are working on a computer (without UPS) and suddenly the power goes off.
My case is the same excluding the power cut. My laptop shuts like this.

It is HP Pavilion g6-1200TX with win7 64bit.

Also, I noticed that my laptop shuts in a time period of about half an hour. I don't know if it is exactly 30 minutes.
