few years old Toshiba satellite, lot of miles on it has been sucking wind lately even after a fresh windows install and a hard drive wipe. but the problem lately has been sometimes when i put it into sleep mode ill come back to wake it and i get the failed to shutdown properly screen and on the desktop i get a windows recovered from an unexpected shut down. under further investigation the times when it does this i hear the fan still on i open it and the lights for hard drive, WiFi, etc are all still and the screen is black. the only way out of this is to wait for it to shut itself down or to manually hold the button.
