So I bought a laptop with switchable graphics. It has the Intel HD 4000 and a Radeon 7670m for its graphics. I don't know what graphics card it uses. When I set the graphics setting into high performance and play a game it lags but if I set it to power saving it doesn't. After about five minutes in a game (graphics settings set to power saving) it lags. How can I know what the laptop uses? And how do I get rid of the lag? My laptop is an HP g6 2091ex with an i7-3612QM and 6GB of RAM. OS is window 8 64 bit.

I tried 3dmark. Here are the results:
3dmark skydiver high performance 2608
3dmark Fire strike high performance 827
3dmark skydiver high performance intel hd 4000 turned off 90
3dmark skydiver high performance 7670m turned off the program crashed

So as you can see, the video cards are doing what they should.

Now the issue may be with the games and the profile not swapping over to the Radeon. Go into the video options and tell it to use the Radeon all the time, see what happens. Then try to manually set the games to use the Radeon. If both work the same way, use the manual method so the Radeon is not running all the time and using up battery.
